Chad Blevins holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with Highest Honors from Saint Edward’s University in Austin, TX. He is a proud Air Force Reservist that was recognized as an Honor Graduate after completing “boot-camp” at age 31. He went on to train as an Engineering Apprentice and achieved the level of Distinguished Graduate, while also serving as the top student leader for a Detachment of over 200 Airmen. Air Force Putting $2.3B into Energy, Water Conservation A host of efforts from the U.S. Air Force are expected to help reduce facility energy intensity 30 percent and potable water use 16 percent by 2015.The Air Force is spending $2.3 billion on energy conservation, energy-related facility audits, third-party contract buyouts, water conservation and renewable energy projects, according to a press release.

NRC to PHEVs: You’re Too Expensive Yesterday, the National Research Council (NRC) released a report on the costs of plug-in hybrids that seems to confirm basic logic: Consumers won’t see a return on their initial investment for decades.
