Basic Qualifications:
Must have experience with Control Area operations, power trading, generation dispatching, or power scheduling.

Core Competencies:
- Bachelors Degree in technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Typically possesses two or more years experience in supervisory and/or energy operations program management.
- Typically possesses ten or more years experience in functions related to Control Area Operations, power trading, or scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience with Control Area operations, power trading, Generation dispatching or scheduling in the Western power market.
- Demonstrated experience with managing power from renewable resources.
- Demonstrated experience with supervising, implementing, and leading major specialized operational projects, tasks, or work groups to solve critical operational problems.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing market conditions and trends.
- Demonstrated experience with trading systems and software.
- Demonstrated experience with energy trading policies, objectives and goals and applicable governmental laws and regulations, in addition to knowledge of current situation in the electric industry.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic plans that have a small to moderate impact on the organization, and facilitating forums to capture the stakeholder requirements.

- Demonstrated knowledge of the electric grid in order to understand the effect of marketplace events on prices and availability of power.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships with suppliers, marketers and other counterparties involved in the wholesale electricmarket and transmission capacity markets.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through others by providing leadership and resource planning including prioritizing activities, delegating and monitoring the progress of assignments, and holding employees accountable for results.
- Demonstrated ability to manage talent and create effective teams by selecting and developing employees to fill talent gaps.

Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work in the Real Time Operations group in the Energy Supply and Management department and will be responsible for the integration of new renewable projects into SCE’s trade floor processes including; energy trading and scheduling, purchasing transmission service, analyzing market conditions and trends, analyzing SCE’s market positions, developing and refining plans and strategies. Since this is a new area of business for the Real Time operations group, the Manager of Renewable Resource Integration will be responsible for monitoring the development of the Northwest and Southwest regional business practices and transmission rates and representing SCE’s interests in industry forums and work groups. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing positive business relationships with suppliers, marketers and other counterparties. Developing presentations to seek management approval for new counterparties, products and transaction strategies and counterparty credit limits. Supervising, implementing and leading major specialized operational projects, tasks or work groups to solve critical operational problems. Mentoring junior Traders and Analysts as well as providing close direction or oversight of work performed and desired results; Selecting staff and managing employee performance and development by conducting performance planning and reviews, coaching employees, and carrying out disciplinary action when necessary; recommending and/or approving departmental policies and procedures and assisting in the development of department policies and procedures; Developing business plans, objectives, and initiatives for the organization in alignment with business strategy and customer requirements; assisting in the development of initiatives for corporate strategic plans and objectives; and performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
